St Paul’s Reef

Location of Site:
5min by boat from the small jetty in the vicinity of Sirens Waterpolo.

Type of Dive: By boat

Condition:
Sheltered from the northwest winds, but otherwise rather exposed and can be choppy with surface surge.

Average Depth: 7 metres
Maximum Depth: 25 metres

Certification Required:
BSAC Ocean Diver, PADI Open Water or equivalent.

The Dive:
The reef is part of St Paul’s Island, it juts out to the East of the Island, the rocks and boulders create a small wall with a steep slope. Marine life is practically non existent. Sea urchins and fire worms can be seen in the area. Visibility is never good and the reason may be because of the presence of fish farms in the area.
