Sultan Rock

Location of Site: South-East point of Comino

Type of Dive:  Boat Dive

Condition: 
Exposed rock sheltered from the North West winds but can be choppy with strong currents

Average Depth: 8 metres

Maximum Depth: 18 metres

Certification Required:
BSAC Sports Diver, PADI Advanced Open Water or equivalent 

The Dive: 
Not a deep dive but because of the currents this dive is appropriate  for  experienced divers  There are huge boulders covered in many sorts of algae such as sea cactus and peacocks tail. Different species of wrasse are found amidst the Posidonia and one might spot moray eels, painted comber and groupers. Bits and pieces of the remains of  HMS Sultan can be found here.
