Join us for an eye-opening talk by Prof. Alan Deidun , marine biologist and coordinator of the Spot the Alien and Spot the Alien Fish citizen science campaigns. Prof. Deidun will explore the growing threat of invasive alien species in Maltese Waters, uninvited guests that are disrupting our local ecosystems.
With species introductions now recognised by the United Nations as the second leading cause of global species extinctions, this talk will shed light on the scale of the problem in Malta, the sources and pathways of these invasions, and the urgent need for public awareness and action.
Whether you’re a diver, environmental enthusiast, or just curious about what’s lurking beneath the waves, this is a session not to be missed.
