Hello Gozo divers!
Are you looking to blow some bubbles, explore new sites, and connect with fellow underwater enthusiasts? The Malta-based Calypso Sub-Aqua Club is excited to officially invite Gozo-based recreational divers to join as members of the club and hop on for our weekly Sunday boat dives!
To make hopping on board easier than ever, our Sunday excursions now proudly operate using the beautiful traditional Maltese luzzu from Bulldog Cruises, adapter for divers’ use, departing straight from the Port of Mġarr in Gozo.
🤿 The Diving Details
- When: Every Sunday (Weather Permitting).
- Departure Point: Port of Mġarr, Gozo (Pontoon A) for Gozo residents at 07:45, stopover at Ċirkewwa for loading Malta-based divers and departing at 08:30, and return vice-versa, between 11:00 and 13:00 depending on dive site location.
- The Boat: The Bulldog (a beautifully converted traditional Luzzu) with plenty of seating and cylinder attachment options. The Luzzu also has toilet facilities.
- Dive Type: We mostly visit sites not usually reached from shore around Gozo, Comino and North of Malta.
- Format: One dive per trip, snacks/drinks onboard for post-dive can be pre-ordered.
- Maximum Runtime: 75 minutes dive and in accordance with your certification level.
- Qualifications: PADI/SSI Advanced Open Water, BSAC Sport Diver, CMAS 2* and above
- Price per dive: Normally our boat share amount is EUR 20 per person payable in advance to the club (excludes any equipment/cylinders etc.).

You can also join other training and socio-cultural and fun activities held by the club throughout the year. As summer starts these become more varied but even in winter, we don’t stop.
